Terms of service

These terms are the agreement between you and HumanizeWord, the operator of humanizeword.com, for the hosted service. The service rewrites submitted text in a more natural style and can check text for signs of AI writing.

If a mandatory consumer law where you live gives you rights these terms cannot waive, that law applies. Creating an account means you agree to these terms and the privacy policy.

What we promise, and what we do not

We process the text you submit and charge the usage-based fees described under Billing. The following limits apply:

• We do not promise any particular result from any AI detector. Third-party detectors can change without notice. Our detector provides an estimate to help you review text. It does not predict other tools’ scores, and a different result from another detector does not entitle you to a refund.
• We do not promise the output is correct. A rewrite changes wording and does not verify facts. Review the output before using it.
• We do not promise a rewrite will pass our own checks. A rewrite that fails quality checks is still charged for the model work used. Charges are based on the work performed, not the outcome.
• The service is provided as is, without warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, to the extent the law allows.

Billing

• Rewrites and AI checks have a usage-based fee, with a minimum charge for each. There is no subscription and no fixed price per word.
• You are shown an estimate before a rewrite starts, live cost updates while it runs, and the final charge when it finishes. An estimate is not a fixed price. The number of processing steps can vary, so rewriting the same text can cost different amounts.
• An AI check is charged when it produces a reading. A check that fails, or text that is too short to analyze, is not charged.
• Balance is prepaid, in USD, funded by crypto deposit. We credit the USD value of what arrives on chain and absorb the payment provider’s fee ourselves.
• Deposits are not refundable to a bank account. Only deposit what you intend to spend.
• Signup credit expires. Its amount and expiry are shown on your billing page.

Acceptable use

You may not use HumanizeWord to:

• submit work as your own where the rules that apply to you forbid it, including academic submissions and professional certifications, or to evade a disclosure or authorship rule that applies to you;
• produce material that impersonates a real person or organisation;
• generate content that is unlawful where you are, including material that sexualises minors, incites violence, or facilitates fraud;
• produce spam, fake reviews, or other deceptive content at scale;
• submit text you have no right to, including other people’s copyrighted work or personal data you were not permitted to share;
• attempt to extract our prompts, circumvent rate limits, or resell access without agreement.

You are responsible for knowing the rules that apply to you. We may suspend an account for a clear breach. A suspension does not forfeit your remaining balance, and we may decline to process further rewrites or checks.

Your text

You keep ownership of what you submit and of what comes back. You grant us only the limited licence needed to process, rewrite, check, and store your text for your use. We do not use your text to train our own models. You can delete a draft and rewrite from its history page, or delete all saved text from Settings. Saved rewrite text is also deleted automatically after 30 days. Usage and billing records remain, and previous transaction entries are not changed.

There is no control in the app to delete an account. Email [email protected] to ask. Billing records, and the account details needed to explain them, remain.

Your text leaves our systems

A rewrite is sent to third-party model providers through OpenRouter so they can produce the result. Their terms apply to that processing. An AI check is run on our systems and is not sent to those providers. See the privacy policy.

Output

Output is machine-generated. We will not describe it as human-written, and nothing in the product certifies it as human-written. Copying or downloading a result does not add a machine-generated label to the text.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim. We are not liable for consequences of using the output, including academic penalties, professional sanctions, or lost business.

Changes and service closure

We may change these terms. Material changes will be announced in the app before they take effect. You can stop using the service at any time. If we discontinue the service, we will give notice. An unspent balance is returned only if a withdrawal method is offered at that time. Deposits are not returned to a bank account.
